Inefficient operation waste water treatment plant
The operations of the WWTP can be more efficient.
The new treatment plant must meet strict effluent regultations, the ambition is to have a better effluent quality than legally required. Additionally, the energy use should be reduced.
Nereda is a biological treatment technology for WWTP. Waste water is treated with micro-organisms that grow in concentrated, natural granular structures. These granules have a high biological activity, making it easy to seperate the micro-organisms from the purified water. The bacteria have an oxygen-rich exterior and an oxygen-depleted core, which allows for multiple purification processes in the same tank.
