Waterproblems find their solutions
Plastic pollution has a large negative impact to ecosystems in water. 8 billion kilograms of plastic waste ends up in oceans every year. Approximately 80% of this plastic waste comes from rivers.
The Shoreliner is a capturing system for (plastic) floating waste in rivers and is currently used at the port of Rotterdam. Floating waste which is larger than 5 millimeters (macro plastics) is captured before it reaches banks behind the Shoreliner and/or the ocean through the port.
