Placing cane screens is time-consuming and labor-intensive

Flood hazard

An increased flood hazard because the flood defence does not meet the requirements and/or due to extreme conditions.

To protect the Dutch coast from the North Sea, each year cane screens are placed in the edges of dunes to prevent the calving of the dunes. But manually placing these screens is a labor-intensive and time-consuming process.

Cane Screen Placer

The Cane Screen Placer is a machine that is pulled by a tractor, and, at the same time, automatically plants the cane screens. In one and a half hours about 600 meters of cane screen can be placed.

  • Placing cane screens will go much faster when using this machine.
  • Placing cane screens is less labor-intensive than before. Back problems, painful hands and bruised knees are things of the past.
