Shortage of information

There is no information available to take appropriate action.

There is a lack of quantitative information on biological activity, presence of specific species or properties of certain species (bacteria and higher organisms) in surface water or WWTPs. This creates uncertainty about the quality of the waste or surface water.

Quantitative measurement of bacterial species and other organisms using qPCR

Quantitative measurement of bacterial and other organisms using qPCR is a method to quantatively measure the presence or absence of specific species or properties. With this information, conclusions can be drawn about the biological quality of the relevant water body or water treatment.

  • Can observe the presence of (rare) higher organisms such as a rare fish species.
  • Analysis results are obtained quickly and cost-effectively compared to the conventional research process.
  • Accurate technique.
  • Sample collection is easy.
  • The methode can also be used for the measurement of bacterial species such as thread-forming bacteria.
