Water pollution

Damage to nature and environment caused by pollution of water.

Medicine residues excreted by humans are sent to a wastewater treatment plant where part of it is removed. The other part is discharged into the surface water. Due to the increase in the use of medicines, this creates a bigger problem. For example, we create resistance to antibiotics, which makes the control of pathogenic bacteria more difficult.

Olla on the move

The Olla on the move is a mobile toilet that is meant to be used in the toilet room at home. All urine and faeces are collected separately, collected at home and then entered into the Pharmafilter-installatie via the sewerage system which purifies the waste water. In this way, the drug residues end up in the surface water to a lesser extent.

  • Doctors can analyze the collected urine and faeces for medical research.
