There is a lack of adequate quantities of water of a sufficient quality.

In developing countries, it is difficult for people to find clean or affordable water. This causes a lot of sickness. Besides that, a lot of trees have to be chopped to serve as fuel to boil water.

The Villagepump is a pump which can purify 500 liters of water per hour. It can be used by manual strength without an external energy source or chemicals. The purified water meets the requirements from the World Health Organisation. The Villagepump is applicable for water from rivers, lakes, storage tanks, wells and basins and is mainly used for developing countries. The pump needs little maintenance and is user-friendly.

  • Users have access to clean affordable water which has a lot of positive effects, such as: less sickness, longer life etc.
