Waterproblems find their solutions
Unused useful matter sewage treatment plant
Sewagewater contains many nutrients that are not or not optimally used.
The Dutch Waste Water Treatment plants remove more than 10 million kilo waste, screenings, from raw sewage water. The collected material typically consist of objects such as rags, plastics (like toys), rags and Tampons. 95% of all waste consists of hygienic towels that are not allowed into the sewage system. Most of the collected screenings are highly reusable, but is not saved for this purpose.
At BlueRoof, the screenings are saved and reused as a substrate layer on blue green-roofs.
