Blockage of culverts

Print Email

Reduced flow

The water flow is reduced due to blockades or constrictions.

Round culverts have a small width on the water line, causing obstructions due to floating material. A larger culvert is often too heavy to moor or it does not fit in a ditch, thus not applicable.

Rectangular composite culvert

The rectangular composite culvert is a lightweight culvert that, due to its shape, has fewer blockages. This culvert is lighter compared to a concrete tube so it can be placed faster and cheaper.

  • Very light compared to concrete culverts.
  • Easy to transport.
  • Easy to install so construction costs are low.
  • Less congestion.
